About me :  Riding bikes has always been a part of my life. I became hooked on downhill in 2008 and bought my first downhill bike. I raced non-competitively until 2010.

In 2011 I decided to become more competitive. The best result I achieved in 2011 was coming 3rd in SA Champs. This enabled me to ride in the SA Federation Team in the DHI World Cup in Pietermaritzburg.

At the end of 2011, with the support from some new sponsors, I managed to improve on my training, and focus even more on my racing and results.

In 2012 I was forced to focus quite heavily on my studies, as it was my final year. Even with that, I managed to have my best season to date, finishing 2nd Junior and 4th overall in the National Series. This secured a place for me in the SA Team for World Champs in Leogang, Austria.

I raced throughout Europe in 2013, competing in 13 races and travelling as a privateer to each one. I took part in the IXS European Series, some World Cups and a few German and Swiss IXS races. It was an amazing learning experience for me, and I tried to take in as many aspects of the International circuit as possible. I struggled with a lot of mechanicals during last season, and I am hoping to have a clean season in 2014. I am more motivated and excited than ever and I can only hope to improve every step of the way and to achieve the goals I set for myself.
